Join the Moonlight Ski League

Add some fun to your Tuesday nights with the Moonlight Ski League recreational racing program that kicks off its season Tuesday, Jan. 12, at Blue Knob.

Tuesday night races will be Jan. 12, 19 and 26 and Feb. 2 and 9, weather permitting. Feb. 16 and 23 will be makeup days as needed. And we hope they aren't.

The league also includes the WPSC Mountain Challenge at 10:30 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 21. This race features an extended course using the top ramp. It's a blast.

We are planning the same format as last year with a maximum of eight people on teams and the top four scores counting for points, as long as the team has members of both sexes participating in that race.

Participants must be at least 21.

Skiers, snowboarders and telemark skiers of all ability levels are welcome, even if you've never been down a race course before.

This is a fun competition, and going through gates will make you a better skier or snowboarder. The flyer for the league is included in the newsletter.

If you have questions, contact Steve Carpenter at 941-3972 or e-mail cornsnow@yahoo.com.
