Ski & Fight Cancer
|
Relay team selling Four PacksSkiers and snowboarders at Blue Knob can help in the fight against cancer and save money on lift tickets. The Allegheny Ski & Sports Club Relay For Life team is raising money for the American Cancer Society by selling Blue Knob Four Packs, containing four coupons that can be redeemed for lift tickets. A portion of the four packs sold by ASSC benefits its Relay For Life team. Four area businesses are volunteering to sell the four packs for the ASSC Relay Team. They are: The Locker Room in Hollidaysburg; Holiday Pools & Spas at the Meadows Intersection, Hollidaysburg; Ray's Lawnmower Sales & Service in Summerhill and Ski Den Sports in Johnstown. "Because of a change in ticketing at Blue Knob, skiers and snowboarders will have more options, rather than just being restricted to night sessions, as was the case previously," Melanie Osborn, ASSC Relay team captain, said. Blue Knob is offering either a four-hour ticket with the time starting at the time of purchase or an all-day ticket. Two four-pack options are available to reflect the ticketing changes. The first offers four-hour flex tickets for weekday, nonholiday periods. The cost is $99, and the tickets have a value of $120. The coupons can be redeemed between 4 p.m. Sunday and 4 p.m. Friday for a lift ticket. The coupons are not valid from Christmas to New Year's and on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and President's Day holiday periods. The second four-pack option is for four open-toclose tickets valid any day during the 2009-2010 ski season, including weekends and holidays. This four pack costs $175. The coupons have a value of $220. Anyone with questions, can contact Melanie Osborn at mdayzgrl@yahoo.com or Steve Carpenter at cornsnow@yahoo.com. |
